Boice Cope Campground (A Curry County Parks & Recreation Park)


Campground Description:  Boice Cope Campground is owned and operated by the Curry County Parks & Recreation Department.  Boice Cope is situated adjacent to Floras Lake, an extremely popular wind surfing area.  Additional recreation opportunities include bird watching, hiking and fishing.  The campground offers hot showers and flush toilets.  Shopping, restaurants and services are available in Bandon (15 miles north) or Port Orford (11 miles south).  Open year round.  Reservations are not possible.

Number of Sites:  19 RV campsites and several tent camping sites

Electricity:  Yes at the RV camping sites

Water:  In one location at the center of the campground.  The campground offers hot showers and flush toilets.

Sewer:  No

Waste Water Dump Station:  Yes

Directions:  From Highway 101 southbound - Drive approximately 14.9 miles from the center of Bandon to Langlois.  Continue for another 0.25 miles to Cope Lane/County Road 130.  Follow the signs for approximately 2.8 miles to the entrance of the campground.  From Highway 101 northbound - Drive approximately 11.2 miles north from Port Orford to County Road 130.  Turn left and follow the signs for approximately 2.6 miles to the entrance to Boice Cope County Campground.

Fishing:  Fish for Cutthroat and Rainbow trout.  Boats are allowed and a boat ramp is available

Astronomy Opportunities:  Good from the center of the campground.  The exact location for computerized telescopes is 42.90179 N, 124.50190 W
